Our Industrial Steel Adaptable Box Canopy was originally designed for use with our Linear Wood Beam LED Pendant Light No.3. The slimline low voltage light fitting has no onboard facility to house an LED driver or other electronics, so we set about the task of designing a box that would store all of the components we required. It also had to complement the industrial look and feel of the rest of our work. Most adaptable boxes or surface mounted junction boxes are generally made of tasteless white plastic or galvabond steel and have little to zero design aesthetic. They aren’t designed to look good, they’re built for functionality.

One of the items that really caught our eye was an immaculate condition 1955 Swiss-made Bolex Paillard Super 8 Movie Titler, complete with an accessory kit and original boxes. The Bolex allowed the user to shoot accurately framed title and credit sequences on an 8mm pocket-sized camera for movie projects, long before the world had ever heard of Premier or even Windows Movie Maker
