Australian Bushfire Donations

This month, we released a new product, the Wood Beam LED Pendant Light No. 3.

While we are really excited about our new light, it feels wrong to be celebrating anything when our country is on fire. Like many other businesses in Australia, we feel strongly about the environmental disaster befalling us and want to do something to help.

Our new light is made using Blackbutt, which ironically is the colloquial name given to the Eucalyptus Pilularis because it is often fire-scarred around the base of its trunk.

Blackbutt is prevalent throughout South-Eastern Australia from where fires are currently ravaging the South Coast of NSW, and grows up the coast all the way into Queensland.

Until the end of February, we’re going to donate 10% of sales from any of our wood beam lights to the Bendigo Bank Bushfire Disaster Appeal. We’ve chosen this charity because 100% of funds will go directly to communities across Australia who have been impacted by the bushfires.
