Our Industrial Heavy Link 5mm Blackened Chain is a perfect solution if you’re looking for something a little different from your regular hardware store chain.
The closed link welded steel has been blackened and finished with linseed oil to give an authentic vintage industrial look. The black finish has mottled tones of blue and grey and a beautiful tactile feel. It would be perfect for various projects including hanging planters, light pendants, signage suspension or in any application where you need your chain to be a feature as well as functional.
The black oxide finish provides a level of corrosion protection so as to not rust in protected environments. It is not suitable for permanent outdoor use as it would gradually rust over time unless it was regularly treated with oil.
Combine this with our other chain components such as our S hooks and ceiling plates to complete your project. This product is ordered by the meter and will come in a continuous length.
This chain is not suitable for lifting duties such as a block and tackle. We have tested with a 30kg static weight and encountered no problems.
